The world must be coming to an end. It has to be.
Deciding to watch tv for the first time in a while, I found a show called, "Hole in the Wall."
This has to be the stupidest excuse for entertainment that I have ever seen in my life. People literally just have to squeeze through a hole in a wall that is coming toward them. If they are successful they receive one point. If they fail, they fall into a pool of oddly green water.
That's it.
This somehow was approved by the suits at the FOX network. Seriously? Are we being Punk'd or something?
I am now reminded why I prefer reading over watching tv for some down time.
It begs a couple questions, however.
There are shows that I enjoy watching like Lost or The Office, or pretty much anything on the Discovery Channel like Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, Myth Busters, etc.
What are the shows you enjoy? And, more importantly, do you prefer Survivorman or Man vs. Wild? It tells a lot about you. Inquiring minds...or at least my mind wants to know.

Ian and I were just having this conversation tonight.
I'd rather blog or read than watch tv.
We watch Deadliest Catch, Axe Men, and whatever else catches our eye on the History Channel or Discovery...
I like CSI: Las Vegas, and Criminal Minds... but I'm wondering how "healthy" it is for me to watch things like that...
So there you have it... we're "boring" in some ways, but that's ok... we like it :)
Okay...you're going to get a laugh out of this one, but, I just started watching the new "Beverly Hills 90210." That's bad, huh?
I'm afraid what my shows are going to say about me...
I like "Desperate Housewives" and "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia". those would be the shows I'd actually set time aside for.
And I prefer "Survivor Man" b/c Adam told me the other guys a fake.
You know me, little or no TV here. When I do take time to watch it will usually be something on Food Network or TLC's John and Kate...I'm such a sucker for those cute kids. I also love the antique road show on PBS.
Of course I cannot answer your question of to whom I prefer...what does "tell" about me?
I am SUCH a Survivorman Fan. I like him because you can tell that he is actually out there on his own, only to be helped 7 days later. Man vs. Wild is so totally staged! He also gives out terrible advice, like to jump in a river in Alaska to get downstream...
As a family we like to watch The Discovery Channel, Discovery Health, Biggest Loser, TLC's Jon & Kate + 8.
We really like Survivor man.
~Danielle :)
I truly can't believe that there is a show like that. Really?
We like Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch, Survivor, The Office, and I like Desperate Housewives (don't tell God though, it's a secret).
I have watched virtually no television for a couple of months. I think this week I've watched 1 hour or so.
I like to DVR shows and watch them for leisure, but I, too, have been enjoying reading in my spare time.
I havent seen that yet, but I do watch to much TV. And a little addicted to FOX news.
For us it's Heroes, Amazing Race, The Office, Biggest Loser & of course the discovery channel. My true favorites are all the baby shows and John and Kate + 8, but I don't get those channels. Probably for the better time wise. TV just sucks ya in sometimes. I'm a reality junkie myself and I guess it would have to be Man vs Wild.
For me, sadly, it's more like, do I like Franklin or The Backyardigans better:)! No really, don't squeeze in a lot of tv, but I dvr an occasional Jon and Kate, Friends and watch LOST and IDOL when they are on (and their seasons are way too short!)
Hmm, Sharon that sounds like a totally cool show. Like in Japan or something.
Um, so if I list all the shows we watch in real time or DVR, I would hog the whole blog. But my very fav's are; DHW, Amazing Race, CSI, Criminal Minds, Brothers an sis...
I don't watch those 2 other shows. I have to put a limit someplace!!
Well I like a lot of shows but I'll get right to our favorite show: Man vs. Wild. Now, I agree that there is more "drama" that may or may not be staged at times. But Bear Grylls is so much more fun to watch and is a far superior narrator.
My husband has confessed to having a "man crush" on him, meaning he greatly admires his abilities and would like to be just like him. And to that I would add that his nature abilities would be a nice addition to my husband's repertoire, but I will not ever kiss him again if he drinks urine, his or anyone(thing) else's!
I'm a dirty jobs fan. And I'm blushing as I admit I am an avid watcher of Grey's Anatomy and am sitting here with anticipation waiting for their 2 hour season premier!!!!
Man vs. wild or Survivorman...I like whichever one can't have the camera crew save him should he get in trouble ...which one is that? Obviously I don't watch these often.
I've never watched Survivorman, but Man vs. Wild is pretty entertaining at times. Jon & Kate +8 has even sucked my boys into watching. Otherwise, ER (all 13 seasons!), Bones, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory. Oh, and I watched that new show Fringe... it's creepy. I don't think I could watch if I was home alone.
On the reality show side, Greatest American Dog was my favorite summer show. I could have cared less about the dog owners, but the pups were sooo cute!
