All's Fair

Gabby was less than thrilled that I posted her braces pictures......So, to redeem myself, I had my mom e-mail me some gems from the past. Enjoy.

April 8, 1987: I was the exact same age as Gabby.

Now you may blackmail me for whatever you'd like.

Ok, just a few questions:
*Are those shoulder pads I see on your turquoise shirt?
*Are those really bottles of nail polish lined up on your wall?
*Were they Wet-n-Wild?
*Is that a spiral perm?
*Did you use Aquanet hairspray to hold that perfect "one curl up and one curl down" bang style?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes! : )

The 80's were totally tubular!

I have no idea what you are talking about :)

Oh my word...were we separated at birth? That's hilarious!

Awesome pictures! You did look good in braces. Since Gabby is your carbon copy, maybe you could get them again so you two can really be mirror images?

How did the first day with braces go for her?

Now you and Gabby have more carbon copy stories to share with each other. I loved reading your posts about your carbon copy, your rose and your man.

I always dug the incredible bangs that look like a flower was planted on one's forehead. I must admit. I had them too. And a perm. And Aquanet. And shoulderpads. And Wet n Wild nail polish (I did that through the mid 90s. Cheap polish, fun colors.) Like most of us, I, too was a victim...uuuuh, I mean child of the 80s.

However, I am about four years younger than you (???). Back in the day, if we were both in a public restroom staring at our totally awesome reflections in the mirror, you'd probably whisper to the girl next to you "Like ohmygosh! She like totally think's she's like one of us. She like a kid or something. Gag me with a spoon! She's like too young and way not cool enough for shoulder pads!"

Josh walked in as I was viewing your pics and I said "who is this". He had no clue! Honestly, I don't think I would have guessed it was you, either!!

Love the memories Sharon. Don't you miss those bangs? You are such a great mom for Greta and Gabby. It's fun to see both of your pictures
