How does God provide rain?
Good question. I've been wondering about that a lot lately.
This dry spell has been an interesting season in my life. Reflective and introspective, if that's not too redundant. What it has hindered, though, is my ability to read or write. A very strange phenomenon for me. I am an avid reader and I thrive when I write.
Rain.
Someone challenged me to "just be."
What does that mean?
Be.
Reflection. Introspection. Prayer. Listening. Silence. Being.
This morning, I opened my Google Reader, which had lain dormant for several weeks. I knew the number of entries from my blogging friends would be overwhelming, but I made the choice to tackle them one by one.
Rain.
You all have refreshed my soul today in a very timely and unique way. I want to thank you. I did not comment on your wonderful prose, but know that you provided me with some much needed hydration.
I want to thank you for your prayers and friendship. You all are a sweet fragrance of spring.
I will continue to "just be" for the time being and see where God delivers me.

Glad to read from you. I am in need of some girl time. Praying for you while Ben's away.
I love you my friend. You are such an encouragement to me and I cherish our friendship.
So great to read a post from you! I think of you often and you my friend have a wonderful day!
Happy for the rain! Love you.
Isn't Google Reader the best thing ever? It changed my life!
In my opinion, 'dry spells' can end up being the most fruitful. God really cultivates us during these seasons, even though they seem difficult, I believe He allows us to have these times...if only to be able to relate to others that go through such seasons.
I know how it feels to not be able to write, it is so frustrating...especially when it's a source of expression. Hang in there!
Enjoy the rain as you are blessed with it...God Bless, Jenny Green
Missing your wonderful writing - but am willing to wait. I can't wait to hear about all He is doing in your life!
Take care of you and those girlies.
From The Purpose Driven Life calendar near my computer...
It takes a full season for fruit to mature and ripen...
Although God could instantly transform us... He prefers to work in incremental steps in our lives.
Phil. 1:6
God began doing a good work in you... He will continue it until it's finished.
I say... bring on the rain!!
