Dry Spell

One of my all time favorite bands, PFR, has a great song that seems to fit my present state:

Pray For Rain
.
Born in a dry season
Wind and sand have blown through me
Haven't found shade anywhere
Only moments of relief
But sometimes I think I hear the thunder
Somewhere on the horizon line
If I could just find a way to get under
The rain that can reach this soul of mine
.
I pray for rain to come and wash away what's made me numb
I pray for a ragging storm to drown what's in me
And the rain comes in the nick of time
I swallow hard cause my throat's been dry
The rain comes beating on my skin
Till I'm washed away - nothing left within
When the rain comes
Your rain comes
.
Seasons have passed so quickly
Since I felt that first big storm
Still there have been times of drought
When I've prayed for the clouds to form
And I often hear the thunder
And I know of its coming rain
Many times in my life I'll kneel under
The moving showers that brought this change
.
I pray for rain to come
And wash away what's made me numb
I pray for a ragging storm to drown what's in me
And the rain comes in the nick of time
I swallow hard cause my throat's been dry
The rain comes beating on my skin
Till I'm washed away - nothing left within
When the rain comes
Your rain comes
.

~

Sorry for my dry spell, friends. His rain will come soon, I pray.

I miss you!

And I love that song.

This is rare for me, but I'm tired and have nothing else to say. I'm sure others will make up for my lack of words. Oh yeah, did I mention I miss you? Because I do.

I'm glad you stopped in to say hello!! It's a good thing I get to see you in real life because I've sure been missing you here.

Sorry that you are in a dry spell right now. The most frustrating thing is that you don't know when it will end and every day the wondering if indeed it ever will.

But guess what? God knows what he's doing with you in all areas of your life. Whether it's giving you a dry spell on your blog or a dry spell in life in general. I love that God always teaches me things even through the weird times that I myself don't understand.

He's so faithful!

Thanks for being so honest Sharon. I have missed you as well. But take your time. This is a time to go deeper with God. I know how I've been feeling with some unexpected life circumstances right now. I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Take care friend. Hope to talk with you soon.

I will be praying that the love of God will rain down on you and absolutely soak you! How 'bout a cup of coffee to quench that dry and parched place in you my friend?!! Are we on for Monday? See ya soon~ Lori E.

I miss you. Just know as you live in this dry spell those who love you are praying for you. And God walks right beside you. Isn't that neat? Thanks for sharing with us. I will keep praying for you and your carbon copy.

Hi Sharon,

I haven't been over here in a while. Blame Mrs. Ranch, she got rid of her blogroll. I would go see her and then click on yours.

I'm sorry it's a dryspell. I hope it only pertaining to the blog and not to more serious matters. I'll say a prayer in either case.

Not to be a stickler, but...um...can you please not be making requests for rain. I like our sunny weather and I'm actually tired of the rain. :)

Take care of yourself.
