A Blogger Tale

Once upon a time, there was a sweet and very precocious little frog named Blogger. He lived in a serene little pond that rarely knew anything but peace and tranquility. Each and every day, the morning dew would refreshingly greet him, only to give way to the bright and cheery sunshine to escort him through the day. Then dusk would provide the perfect inspiration for the chorus of croaking performed by the choir of all his kin.

His parents had trained him well, and his extraordinary ability to snatch a fly in a fraction of a second was the best of all the frogs in his little pond. But in addition to that, he always seemed to know just the right lily pad to wait for his prey. It was if he had some secret ability to foretell the flies' flight patterns.

Blogger had every reason to gloat and boast over his fine abilities, yet he chose a much more admirable way of life. He was known as the most generous frog in all the forest, always providing bountiful meals for all the frogs and bug-eating critters around. The birds would spread the word far and wide about this wonderful frog named Blogger.

He was very content with the environment in which he called home, and loved his friends dearly. There was no reason in Blogger's mind to stray from this happy little pond which he called home.

But then one day,

as he was sitting on his favorite lilly pad, contemplating life, he realized that he had spent all of his young life in that little pond. His thoughts began to wander as he dreamed of what lied outside his small, yet comforatable parameters.

The next morning, Blogger woke up, packed his suit case and head out of the pond in search of a new adventure!

(I didn't leave much of a cliff hanger so I'm adding on!)

Little Blogger was humming his favoite tune, "One little, Two little, Three Little Froggies", as he merrily hopped down the road in search of this new adventure. But, before long, he could hear a car driving up toward him. As the car's brakes screached to a halt beside Blogger, the driver unrolled the car window and began addressing Blogger.

"Well, hello there, little frog." Snarled the mysterious man. "Why don't you hop on in my car." With a twinkle in his eye he added, "I have candy".

Blogger, new to this outside world and the possible dangers that may await him, opened his large froggie mouth and gave this man an answer which was "...

HURRY, QUICK! SOMEONE SAVE BLOGGER!! ;)

"Absolutely! What kind of candy is it?" the innocent Blogger Frog said.

"It's coconut covered flies," the man said in a gruff voice.

"Oh, too bad," Blogger sighed. "I really don't like coconut.

With that, he hopped merrily down the road. The mysterious stranger began driving, faster, faster.

Blogger got nervous. The car looked as if it was coming straight toward him!

So Blogger being ever so smart jumped off to the side of the road where there just happened to be a Starbuck's. Being right next to a Starbucks he knew what he needed to do. What's every Blogger suppose to do when they are near a Starbuck's? Thats right-they buy a non-fat, sugar-free extra sweet vanilla latte for their friend Abby. So after doing that he went to .......

...a wooded area behind the Starbucks. As he hopped over, and through the woods, he saw that in the middle of this heavily wooded area was another little pond. As he hopped closer, he looked around and enjoyed the new setting. The trees here were taller than they were at his pond. The sun shone brighter here. The birds were singing such sweet songs. He was excited to see what else he might find. As he started to hop onto a lovely, bright green lily pad, he was stopped by....

the most beautiful frog he had ever seen! Could it be? Was this sweet and petite froggie a frog princess?

"Why, hello there" she said, sounding ever so shy, "my name is Genevieve, the princess of this pond".

"Umm... hi, Miss Genevieve... my name is Blogger".
